LPP School

The Dept. of Human Development & Family Studies, College of Community Science, VNMKV, Parbhani has been running Laboratory Pre-Primary School (LPP School) since 1977 to give training to undergraduate & postgraduate students in the areas of Early Child Care, Development & Education and in allied courses. Initially the Lab. Nursery School had only one section (3-4yrs children, intake capacity of 30) managed by one Montessori teacher and 2 attendants. For increasing the scope of practical experiences of UG and PG students and to fulfill the demands of parents, one more section (4-5 yrs children, intake capacity of 30) was started in the year 1996-97. Under ICAR funded Experiential Learning & Hands on Training (EL-HT) Human Development & Family Studies ambitious project, the school was further expanded in the year 2009-10 by starting two more sections i.e. Play section (2-3 yrs children, intake capacity of 30) and Bridge section (5 - 6 yrs children, intake capacity of 30) to give preschool education to young children for 4 years consecutively (from age of 2-6 yrs). After receiving 4 yrs duration quality child care & education at VNMKV campus, for having got proper foundation to their scholastic abilities, it is recorded that the students start doing well in elementary schools at ease. In order to have inclusive child development, one section for developmentally subnormal children (DSC Section) was started in the morning session. To extend child day care support to whole day employed/busy parents, Support to Family and Child Development Section (SFCD Section) in the afternoon session were started. These sections have multi age group children. LPP School has been getting overwhelming response from the parents, educationists and researchers due to its quality educational services to the young children as well as to their parents.
